Welcome to my research lab - The Academic Garden. This space foregrounds and mobilizes all the beautiful collaborative work that would not be possible without the support of undergraduate students and consulting researchers. I love conceptualizing new projects and new papers outside of/in support of my doctorate, but research is never done in isolation - it requires an ecosystem or a “community.” The metaphorical framing of research through the “garden” helps reflect five key guiding principles that undergird the work that we do together : (1) Cultivation, (2) Rootedness, (3) Biodiversity and Ecosystems, (4) Seasonality, and (5) Harvesting and Sharing.
